Data deletion
This page explains how to have the information Phoundri holds through a connected social media account deleted, and what such a request does.
From inside Phoundri
An owner or administrator of the organization opens Settings → Social accounts and presses Disconnect beside the account. The stored access token is deleted at that moment. The organization's own records — the posts it composed and the record of what was published — are the organization's data and remain under its control; an owner can delete them like any other records, or delete the whole organization.
From the provider
Some providers let an account holder ask, from the provider's own settings, that an app delete the data it obtained. When Facebook forwards such a request to Phoundri, Phoundri:
- finds every connection made with that Facebook account, in every organization;
- deletes the stored access tokens and marks those connections disconnected;
- records the request under a confirmation code.
The confirmation code, and the address of this page with ?code= appended, are returned to the provider, which shows them to the account holder. Entering that address shows when the request was received and how many connections it removed.
What is not deleted by a provider's request
A provider's request concerns what Phoundri obtained from the provider: the account connection and its token. The organization's own operational records (the text of posts it wrote, when they were scheduled, the record of publish attempts) belong to the organization, not to the provider, and are deleted by the organization itself.
