Phoundri privacy notice
This page says what Phoundri stores when a business connects a social media account to it, and what it does with that information, and what a map on a Phoundri page loads. It is written for the people who use Phoundri and for the platforms whose accounts they connect. The exact legal text is the operator's decision and may be revised; what is described here is what the product actually does.
What Phoundri is
Phoundri is a business operating platform: a business keeps its own records (customers, jobs, posts and the like) in its own database. Each organization's data is stored separately from every other organization's.
Connecting a social media account
When an owner or administrator of an organization connects a social media account (today, a Facebook Page), the provider asks that person for permission and returns an access token to Phoundri. Phoundri stores:
- the account's public identity as the provider reports it (its id, name and handle);
- the access token, encrypted at rest with a key that only Phoundri's server holds. The token is never shown in the product, never written into the organization's tables, never sent to a browser, and never written to logs;
- what the connection may do (for example, publish text), when it was connected and by whom, and whether it last worked.
Phoundri uses the token to do what the organization asks of it: to publish the posts the organization composes and schedules, and to read back the account's own recent posts to confirm a publication landed. Phoundri does not read the account's messages, comments or audience data in this version, and does not use the token for anything the organization has not asked for.
What Phoundri keeps about a publication
For every post an organization publishes through Phoundri, the organization's own database holds the post's content, when it was scheduled and published, the provider's post id and link, and the record of each publish attempt (when it started and finished and whether it succeeded). This is the organization's operational data and stays under its control.
Disconnecting, and deletion
An owner or administrator can disconnect an account at any time under Settings → Social accounts. Disconnecting deletes the stored access token immediately; the organization's own records of past posts remain its records.
If a provider forwards a data-deletion request from the account holder (for example, Facebook's data deletion callback), Phoundri deletes every stored access token obtained through that account holder, marks the connections as disconnected, and records the request under a confirmation code the account holder can look up at /data-deletion.
Who can see what
Only members of an organization with the owner or administrator role can connect or disconnect accounts. Phoundri's platform operators can see that a connection exists and its state, never the token.
Maps
A map on a Phoundri page (a website's Map section, once a visitor presses Show map, and the Map in a workspace) draws its streets from map data. Phoundri serves that data from its own map storage wherever it has it: the whole world at low zoom, and some regions in detail.
When an area is not available from Phoundri's map storage, the map may load map data from OpenFreeMap, which receives the visitor's network request. Like any site a browser asks for something, it sees the visitor's IP address and what the browser sends with every request. Phoundri sends it no cookie, no account and nothing about the business. The map names OpenFreeMap in its credits whenever OpenFreeMap's data is on the screen, and only then.
A website's map loads nothing, from Phoundri's map storage or from OpenFreeMap, until the visitor presses Show map. Phoundri does not keep a record of the places a particular person looks at on a map.
Inside Phoundri (never on a website's visitors' devices), a map keeps the map data it has drawn in the browser's storage on that device, so an area seen once opens again without downloading it, offline too. Only Phoundri's own map data is kept, never OpenFreeMap's. It stays on the device and is never sent to Phoundri, but anyone using that browser could tell from it which areas were shown. Settings → Maps on this device says how much is stored, clears it, and can stop it.
Map data. Phoundri's map data is built from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, <https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright>) in the OpenMapTiles schema (© OpenMapTiles). It is a database derived from OpenStreetMap, and Phoundri makes it available under the Open Database License 1.0 (ODbL, <https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/>). Each build's record — where its data came from and how it was made — is published beside its files, for example <https://spatial.phoundri.com/basemaps/world-lowzoom/20260928-b1/PROVENANCE.json>.
